Usha Martin Italia offers a comprehensive set of rope related services, thanks to the knowledge gained in decades of training, academic preparation and experience on the field.

We are a swift and proactive team, composed by mechanical engineers, metallurgists and manufacturing specialists, which can offer a 360° view of rope matters, starting from product making, to installation, to usage and inspection.

Laura Lombardi – Managing Director

Laura leads Usha Martin Italia team and she takes care of technical relationships and customers training, wire rope design, application engineering, research and development and international committees. She is chair of IMCA Lifting and Rigging Management Committee and member of OIPEEC Management Committee and she is a regular speaker during international events.

Federico Paglia – Technical Assistance Manager

Federico is the application expert for a vast number of rope fields, he takes care of wire rope assessment, assistance during installation, troubleshooting, post-retirement analysis and rope testing. He is part of OITAF Management Committee.

Fabio Venturelli – Senior Technologist

Fabio is the manufacturing expert of Usha Martin Italia team, he assists Usha Martin divisions with the manufacturing of new products and with the fine tuning of the existing process, starting from wire making to rope closing. He also takes care of rope assessment and testing.

Franco Clerici – Senior Advisor

With more than 40 years of experience, Franco is one of the major wire ropes experts in the world. Franco’s knowledge covers all the aspects of rope design and making, i.e. rod, wire, rope closing and testing, as well as rope application and research and development. Formerly conveyor of the WG3 of TC242, he is still part of the experts in several working groups for EN and ISO standards
